At St. Stephen’s Church we recognize how music enhances our worship in ways that words alone can’t. This is as true for the musicians who sing or play as it is for the listeners in the pews. We have a very long, rich, and varied tradition of musical styles and we keep that tradition alive today! The music our parish enjoys is made possible through parishioners sharing their vocal and instrumental talents. We offer opportunities to musicians of all ages and skill levels and there are a wide variety of musical styles in which you may participate.

Currently, our community is not meeting in-person. During this time, our musical groups are not rehearsing. However, musicians from across the parish are sharing their musical talents by creating and recording music in their homes which we air during our worship services. Contact Clark for more details.

The Parish Choir adds depth to our worship services and special performances throughout the year. The choir is open to high school students and adults. We are always looking for new singers with all ranges of experience who are seeking the challenge of sharing a wide variety of musical styles from Beethoven and John Rutter to contemporary works by Dan Forrest, Karl Jenkins, and Mark Hayes.

Our adult handbell choir brings a festival experience to our worship once a month and on special holidays. This is choir is open and welcoming to ringers of all ages and skill levels.

This lively group plays traditional hymns in styles from jazz to World Music and everything in between. In addition to their music gracing our worship services, you will find this ensemble at many St. Stephen’s social events.

Our orchestra is a great way for the entire family to share music together! This group is open to ALL woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion players with at least one full year of experience in school or private lessons. The group includes kids, youth, and adults and plays several times throughout the year. Whether you are a new or experienced musician, one who plays regularly or needs to dust the cobwebs from your instrument, we’d love to have you join us.
